Brighton Town Hall Wedding

Jess & Alex’s wedding was a sunshine filled day all centred in their hometown. Their ceremony was at Brighton town hall and their reception took place at The Seahorse.

The photographer of our dreams.

I don't really know the words to describe how lucky we feel to have had Lucy capture our wedding day.

From the first meeting we knew we didn't need to look any further. She completely got our vibe and vision from the first time we spoke and took so much time and care to get to know myself and my partner as people so the whole experience felt so special and personal. Lucy genuinely made us feel excited and confident about not just the way our photos would turn out but the whole day and process in general, she consistently checked in with us - gave such helpful advice and tips along the way and went absolutely above and beyond to support our planning journey to ensure it was exactly what we wanted.

Lucy is such a genuine, wonderful human being who is so incredibly passionate about what she does. Having her with us on the day was so relaxing and easy and felt like being with a friend. This meant our photos turned out so well as two camera shy people ended up being camera blind as we felt so at ease!

Whilst I knew our photos would turn out incredible after one look at her instagram .. I didn't know that they would exceed anything I could have ever imagined. My Pinterest board was put to shame in comparison to our actual photos.

We are so obsessed with all of the photos Lucy has taken, she has made us feel like the best versions of ourselves. Every photo bursting with raw emotion and elegance. We couldn't believe they were our wedding photos?! It’s like Lucy puts a magic over every moment so when she captures it, it’s perfect. Candid, effortless, modern, stunning images. We must have stared at them in shock for hours.

Every single person has raved about our pictures and for absolute reason. I couldn't truly have asked for anything more -
Lucy's not only such an amazing human being but also hands down one of the most talented photographers there is. I cannot emphasise enough how much I without a doubt recommend Lucy - it’s not even a question - a recommendation isn't enough.. just a must! Thank you Lucy for giving us the most beautiful photos that we will treasure for a lifetime.”

This wedding will forever have my heart. Not just because of how beautiful it looked and felt but because of the couple in the centre of it all. Jess and Alex chose to celebrate their wedding in Brighton, the city they had dreamed of living in since they first met at 15. As someone who has also been with her husband since I was 15 and lives in Brighton, we connected really easily and I was extremely excited to be a part of their day.

The ceremony took place at Brighton Town Hall. It’s a beautiful setting that perfectly combines the intimacy of the moments and elegance of the event. Friends and family surrounded them, sharing in the joy of the moment. They decided to write personal vows which is always a favourite of mine. It brings such story to the day and gives us a special look into their feelings to each other. After the ceremony and colourful confetti throw, we captured photos inside the town hall. The stunning architecture served as a backdrop for the couple portraits. I always love gently guiding my couples through this time so that you get photos that look beautiful but also feel like you. After the town hall we walked along the seafront which I absolutely loved. More because of the amount of cheers and smiles they got from so many people enjoying their day in Brighton. Honestly I live in the best city.

Arriving at the Seahorse, a beachside restaurant, it was adorned with vases of flowers with pops of fruit and shells on the table. They weren’t your typical wedding set up and I was obsessed. I love it when couples go with their gut with designs instead of what they think their wedding should look like. And Jess designed all the signs and stationery herself.

The drinks reception on the terrace was lively, filled with music and laughter. Emotional speeches touched everyone’s hearts, reminding them of the love that brought Jess and Alex together. Lance served as both bridesman and usher for Jess and Alex so got to share his perspective as their official third wheel in their relationship which brought a lot of laughter and tears.

One final dream awaited – sunset photos at the famous Brighton bandstand. This moment felt like something out of a storybook. The light was perfect, casting a warm glow over everything and capturing Jess & Alex’s love here was a photographers dream.

Jess and Alex’s wedding in Brighton was a blend of love, laughter, and joy. Every moment was a memory to hold dear. The day was not just about the events, but the feelings shared. You can find all the gorgeous suppliers who made this day possible listed at the end.
