There was so much to love about this trendy minimalist London wedding
Tess and David had a simple and trendy vision for their day. They wanted the aesthetics of their day to be old meets new. Think scandi influences in a minimalist coffee shop. Then the feeling they wanted was one that was laid back, full of laughter and fun. Their story is full of love, having known each other for years and David's best friend being Tess' brother, this was a truly special day.
I think they got this spot on. Keeping it all at one venue allowed their guests to fully relax but give them such a treat as there were two parts of the venue, both incredible in themselves. The venue itself was in such a beautiful and quiet location that I couldn't get over that we were in London, on a Saturday in the summer!
The ceremony was held in the Saint James Church. An absolutely stunning church with some incredible decor and designs, making it feel both old and new. It was an amazing place for Tess and her mum to walk down the aisle to meet her soon to be husband.
After the ceremony, there was a long confetti tunnel outside in the garden, followed by drinks. Then everyone went downstairs to the crypt. Floor to ceiling bricked walls, complete with festoon lighting. It's the perfect base to make your wedding how you want. Tess and David added floral arrangements which were done by David's mum and coffee pot favours. These guys are big coffee fans that not only was it their favours but they had cold brew freely available and during our couple shoot, went to one of their favourite cafes in London to get a coffee. I loved this part of the day so much. They wanted very simple but very cool couple photos and I was totally on board (let that be a terrible pun for the fact we also went to the train station to get some shots). They loved the editorial wedding photography vibes and we were buzzing coming away from their couple shoot. Scroll down to see the be-real we took!
The rest of the day was all the good stuff. Croughnuts, Pakistani curry, beautiful speeches, a dress outfit change and a sparkler exit.
This day was filled with everything that Tess and David love. They really made it their own and it was such an honour to be a part of it.
